CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Vendors are to comply with all local laws, health regulations, and obtain all permits required for their products and services only from the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly.
  • Vendors are to treat all festival staff, attendees, and fellow vendors with respect and courtesy.
  • Vendors must arrive on time to set up before the event starts and ensure timely departure after the event ends.
  • Vendors are to engage only organizers with appropriate tags, uniforms and unique identification numbers.
  • Vendors are expected to openly display permits at their stations.
  • Ensure the safety of your products and take precautions to prevent accidents and minimize potential hazards.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with festival organizers (Okuapeman Traditional Council and Akuapem North Municipal Assembly). Notify them on possible changes or challenges you might face.
  • Vendors are expected to adhere to all laws regarding the sale and consumption of alcohol
  • Maintain the cleanliness of your area and dispose of trash properly.
  • Collaborate with festival organizers and fellow vendors to create a harmonious and
    enjoyable experience for all participants.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS CODE OF CONDUCT MAY RESULT IN THE IMPOSITION
OF FINES, EXPULSION FROM THE FESTIVAL AND POTENTIAL LEGAL ACTION IN CASES
OF UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR.

  • RESPECT FOR TRADITION AND CULTURE Honor and respect the cultural traditions and customs of the Odwira Festival. Participate in ceremonies with reverence and follow the guidance of the event organizers.
  • ATTIRE Wear appropriate and modest attire that is in line with the cultural and traditional norms of the festival.
  • COURTESY AND RESPECT Treat fellow attendees, performers, and event staff with kindness and respect. Avoid using offensive language or engaging in disrespectful behavior.
  • SAFETY AND SECURITY Follow the instructions of event security personnel and organizers. Report any suspicious activity or concerns to festival staff.
  • PARKING Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas as directed by security personnel and the protocol team. Indiscriminate parking will result in towing and the imposition of fines.
  • DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR Refrain from any disruptive or unruly behavior that may disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the festival.
  • PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING Respect the privacy of others when taking photographs or recording videos. Ask for permission before taking pictures of individuals or their belongings.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY Dispose of waste properly in designated bins to maintain a clean environment. Respect the festival grounds and do not damage any property or natural surroundings.
  • ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE USE Adhere to all rules and regulations regarding alcohol consumption at the festival premises. Attendees are advised to desist from taking illegal substances.
  • PARTICIPATION AND ENGAGEMENT - Feel free to engage in dance, music, and other festivities with enthusiasm and respect for the cultural significance.
  • COOPERATION WITH AUTHORITIES - Cooperate with festival staff, security personnel, and local authorities to ensure a safe and successful event.
  • PERSONAL BELONGINGS - Take responsibility for your personal belongings and do not leave valuables unattended to.
  • ACCESSIBILITY - Be considerate of attendees with disabilities and offer assistance if needed.
By attending the Akuapem Odwira Festival, you agree to abide by this code of conduct and contribute to the positive atmosphere of the event. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS CODE OF CONDUCT MAY RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE FESTIVAL AND POTENTIAL LEGAL ACTION IN CASES OF UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR.
